We all love a good Amazon haul, don’t we? I certainly do. Which is why I’m starting a new series of monthly roundups of my favorite Amazon purchases. From practical gadgets to indulgent treats, this list covers a range of items that have enhanced my daily life in various ways. Now, let’s get to it…

01. StorageWorks Hand-Woven Large Storage Baskets with Wooden Handles, Seagrass Wicker Baskets for Organizing, 2-Pack

I purchased these to use in my daughter, Ruby’s, playpen in our living room and I love them so much. I was looking for something that could “contain” her toys but still allow them to be easily accessible by her. They are shaped with low sides which is helpful for a baby that’s crawling to see and reach what’s inside. They have wood handles on the side that just make it feel a little bit more elevated. So far, the baskets have held up well (without the typical shedding you can see from wicker baskets). I just purchased some more for her room upstairs because they slide perfectly into her little toy dresser.

02. Valentine’s Day Inspired Books for Ruby: If Animals Said I Loved You and Bananas for You!

I purchased these two books for Ruby given that Valentine’s Day was around the corner. I loved that they were “love” themed without being “Valentine’s Day” specific because they can now live in her book library all year round. When it comes to books for your baby, it’s not just about the photos… if the book is boring to read, I tend to not reach for it and it just sits there. I never thought I’d become a baby book snob, but I kind of am haha. I need the book to be enjoyable to read (like using fun phrases that rhyme without too many tongue twisters), and enough words on the page (I never realized how hard it is to turn a page of a book when your baby likes to hold onto the edges of the book. If you have to flip the page every other word, it can sometimes feel like a battle lol). And of course, you want the photos to be captivating enough that your little one enjoys looking at them. Both of these were a YES for me (and Ruby of course) and will be staying in her permanent book library!

03. The Artist’s Way Book

I was talking with my friend, Aleks, about how I wanted 2024 to be my year of creativity. I shared with her how I really want to lean into more creative endeavors and try new things (even if it makes me uncomfortable). She introduced me to this book, The Artists’s Way, and told me it was something that was recommended to her years ago when she was on a similar path. The Artist’s Way is a bestselling self-help book by Julia Cameron that guides individuals through a 12-week program aimed at unlocking creativity and overcoming creative blocks. Cameron emphasizes techniques such as daily journaling (called “Morning Pages”) and weekly artist dates to nurture creativity and self-expression, ultimately encouraging readers to cultivate a fulfilling creative life. I’m really excited about this and can’t wait to start! I’m sure there will be a blog post recap in the future regarding this one! 🙂

04. GROSMIMI Spill Proof no Spill Magic Sippy Cup with Straw with Handle

Around 6 months of age is when babies start to have water so our pediatrician recommended we start introducing the sippy cup during and in between meals. I tried a few brands, but every time the sippy cup would be either tossed off the side of the highchair, tilted on its side, or held upside down, it would spill everywhere. I wanted to find a sippy cup that I could take on the go that was spillproof but that wasn’t hard for Ruby to use since she was still learning how to drink from something other than a bottle. My friend, Megan, introduced me to this one and it’s by far my favorite cup we’ve tried. It has a lid which makes it great to throw into the diaper bag to take on the go. I also keep one in her playpen for her to be able to take sips from when she wants, and I don’t have to sit there worried that when it tips over it’s going to get everywhere. I highly recommend it!

05. Mooala Organic Simple Almond Milk, 32oz – 3 Ingredient, Shelf Stable, No Gums, No Oils, No Fillers, Unsweetened, Non-GMO, No Additives, Dairy Free Plant Based Milk

I love me a good almond milk latte in the morning but I hated using almond milk that had a ton of gums and fillers in it. I always used Malk because it was free of all that stuff, but the problem was it wasn’t shelf stable so it was hard to always keep stocked up without buying too much and worrying it’ll go bad. That’s when I discovered this brand which is shelf stable (so you can keep extras in your pantry to always have on hand), and that doesn’t have all the yuck that other milk alternatives have. I use this for my coffee, for smoothies, and for making things like overnight oats! It tastes great, and the best thing is that it’s available on Amazon so it ships super fast (and for free!).

06. ATUMTEK 60″ Selfie Stick Tripod

As a new mom, I found myself wanting to capture all the little moments with Ruby. I didn’t want to look back and wish that I remembered to take more photos, so last year I bought this tripod to have more autonomy to capture these instead of waiting (or awkwardly asking my husband to). I loved it so much, that I just bought one more to keep upstairs. Now all I have to do is pop my phone inside it and click record and capture memories whenever I want. I also shoot some of our family photos together from it because it has this handy little Bluetooth remote that you can discreetly hold in your hand to snap shots from afar. Below are some of the shots I’ve captured using this tripod. Again, highly recommend this for new moms or anyone!

07. Ecotools Makeup Brush Cleansing Shampoo

I have used this makeup brush shampoo for yearsssss. It does the job and I love that it’s fragrance-free and gentle on my makeup brushes. I don’t wear a ton of makeup, so I typically wash my brushes every other week, but if you wear makeup more often, the American Academy of Dermatology recommends you wash your brushes every 7 to 10 days. I don’t know why but this is one of those chores that is oddly satisfying to me. The day after a brush wash is the best and I feel like my makeup goes on SO nicely.

08. TFD The Tread Tray 2.0 • Compatible with New Peloton Tread • • Walking Desk Attachment Holder for Laptop, Tablet, Phone, & Book

I saw Jenna Kutcher post about this on Instagram and thought it was a great idea so I snagged one in hopes I could kill two birds with one stone #momlife. I figured this would be a great way to sneak in a workout AND work on a blog post while Ruby naps. Actually, I’m walking on the treadmill right now as I’m typing this blog post up… so thanks Jenna, for helping me get some more steps in while remaining productive with my limited time these days!

09. THEO’S 50-Pack Stick on Disposable Table Mats

Okay, for those BLW moms out there… this one is a must. I talk about these on my blog post all about what I keep in my diaper bag, so if you haven’t checked that out… you should! I was looking for something that I could take to restaurants to help contain Ruby’s mess while also giving her a clean surface to eat from. What I love about these is they are made from biodegradable materials and they are SO easy to use. You just peel the little sticker liner off the edges and stick it onto the table when you go out to eat. Makes for a super easy cleanup before you leave.

10. FEBU Swedish Dishcloths for Kitchen, 5 Pack, Neutral, Cotton, Reusable, Biodegradable, Absorbent, Compostable

I felt like I was going through sooo many paper towels now that Ruby is eating 3 times a day, so I got these to easily wipe down the highchair and area below her highchair after she’s done eating. You just wet it under the faucet, wipe up the mess, and then rinse and ring it out to dry. Each cloth is reusable for up to 50 washes, and each washable Swedish cloth can replace 17 rolls of paper towels! If you are constantly cleaning up messes like I am as your baby learns to eat solids, this is a must!

11. IRIS USA 19 Quart Stackable Plastic Storage Bins with Lids and Latching Buckles, 6 Pack

I ordered another set of these bins which I love to use to store Ruby’s clothes once she grows out of them. I’ll fold everything up, place it in a bin, use my label maker to label the size of clothing, and then pop it into the attic for baby #2 one day. I also got a lot of clothes as gifts when I was pregnant, some for sizes up to 18 months, so to preserve space in her closet and dresser, I put clothes that were too big in these bins and stacked them up at the top of her closet to unbox once she was closer to that size. I love a good closet organization method and this one works for us.

12. Ugerlov Women’s Two Piece Sweater Set Oversized Knit Cardigan and High Waisted Baggy Pants

This is an awesome dupe to the Free People Hailee Cardi Set (that goes for $128!) for a fraction of the price ($50)! I love sets like these because it takes all the thinking out of getting ready which is REALLY nice when you don’t have the time but still want to feel somewhat put together. It’s comfortable to lounge in all day but cute enough to wear out of the house, too! I’m going to need a few more colors! I recommend sizing down, it runs quite large!

13. BOGG BAG Original X Large Waterproof Washable Tip Proof Durable Open Tote Bag

I take Ruby to a swim class once a week, and I wanted a tote bag that I could put down on the ground (that is normally wet) that wouldn’t get all soggy. I also loved that this tote can stay upright on its own, which makes it a lot easier when you have a baby in your arms and you only have one hand to dig through for the things you need. This tote is BIG which I love because I can easily fit a towel for Ruby, a towel for me, a change of clothes, diapers, wipes, snacks, and more! I see this being a great tote to bring onto the boat or to the beach this summer as well!

Wrapping up my January Amazon haul, it was a bit of everything – from BLW must-haves to cute Free People dupes – each of these purchases was a win in my book. Can’t wait to dive into February’s adventures – here’s to more awesome finds and moments that make every day a bit brighter! Happy shopping, mama!
